this year - 2008 - I only have one new year's resolution:



to quit my job and find a new one.
that's it.
a new job.
it is high TIME for change.



and anyway it's not the end of the world if i'm unemployed for, let's say, 1 month.
i did it before, right after graduating, for 3 months, and i survived.
i've bought so much stuff for myself in such a short span of time too.



2008 is the year to stop being safe and old and to explore again.

kaij and i went there on sat. very nice. planning to go back next next sat- after the mid month payday hehe. i wish they'd have more booths for the tiangge. i liked the oohwables one coz their tops are pretty cheap-only 200+ or 300+ and different from the stuff you usually see in tiangges. i bought a large gray shirt of theirs for only 320. originally they were selling for 380 but kaij haggled down to 320 yehey (wala akong energy para tumawad). i actually like 3 more of their other stuff: a long black top, a sando dress, and a blue spaghetti strap dressy top with hearts on it. all for around the same price. will definitely go back for those. from another booth i got this black shirt in a bathing suit-like fabric, fits like a bathing suit too hehe. from one of the ukay shops in this area i got a shirt with a gold fish print on it, for 120 which i think is mahal for ukay pero di talaga ko nakipagtawaran kasi pagod na. hehe. mejo mahal yung mga tinda sa ukay sa cubao x pero marami pa namang ibang ukay shops sa labas.

i really wanted these sneakers/flats that i saw in one of the shoe shops...kaya lang walang size ko. parang keds yung style, in black glitter. very me. but no size 6. damn. well.

we went into this antique thrift shop where they sell old photographs, old everything, pretty interesting items...kj saw some old clutches and found a wonderful vintage beaded clutch. she asked the owner for the price and i thought i heard him say 800 which i actually had no complaints about,but it turned out he said 200 and so she got that one.

can't wait to go back and shop some more and eat at one of the restos.

who wants to go? it has to be on a weekend =>

P.S. you'll like this place kung artsy fartsy ka. ganun yung atmosphere nung place. the people in the booths are young -most of them selling their own creations- cute, and friendly. they'll chat you up which unfortunately i wasn't in the mood for at that time kasi pagod ako, but kj liked it. a lot of young people but generally a mix. lots of old interesting finds.

i miss wearing my two favorite necklaces from my mother and from my boyfriend. i keep thinking about those more and more these days. i lost them a number of months ago when i wore them together. the one from my mother was stars and a moon in light colored stones and the one from Laurent was a single pearl in a sort of silver encasement. i was sad after i lost those. i haven't worn any sort of jewelry ever since...not even earrings so i'm sure the 3 extra piercings on my ears are now gone.

will look through accessories here at home now. i've become such a boring dresser. so uninspired! and so sickly these days. must not resign! must earn money so i can shop for accessories. right?

for a christmas present i'm thinking i'll ask my boyfriend for a special laurent necklace or ring.

you know what in the end i didn't regret going at all.
it was fun.
the switchfoot guys seemed real sweet,the vocalist came out by himself for an encore, rest of the band came out and joined him about 3/4ths into the song. real nice. not really a fan but i thought they were pretty good.
kat and her sister and her cousin especially were so warm and nice. her friend also.
and celebrities so up close! hehe.

her music is something different from the type of stuff i've listened to for years. i love it.

been listening to her song for i think about 2 weeks straight now. like everyday!

wasn't feeling so well but i went to aplaya with my teammates anyway. guess that's how much i love them. inuman kami right after shift, which was around 4 am. we stayed for some time. rc and lovely (his wife) left early and eventually some of the others did. bj, ken, mike, kevin, irish and i stayed until the sun came out. mainly we stayed to let irish and kevin talk. i got hungry and was going to order a silog meal but ken suggested we go to tapa king at atc so we did. he drove. got home around 9 am, tired, coughing and very sleepy, but my mother na naglalambing insisted i go with them to duty free. so i only got to sleep around 8 pm that day.

this morning woke up with a slight fever, terrible cough and bad asthma attack. had my father go with me to buy a new nebulizer since my cousin had borrowed mine. feeling a bit better now i guess. i wish i won't have to miss work tomorrow.

i found this shia le bouf post and i remembered transformers w/c laurent and i recently watched. we really enjoyed the movie and his birthday is coming up...i wanted to give him something personal and now i know what to give him. thanks to transformers! now it's just a matter of looking for that special item.

my friend kj and i want to go to the spice girls reunion concert. i super loooooved the spice girls when i was in elementary and even like early high school. i remember i had this big poster of them in my room. my favorite was geri then baby spice then scary then sporty- i just wasn't feeling posh spice- but i always went back to ginger. i looked at their new pictures and i think she's still the prettiest although she is wearing this weird dress in one of the pics. emma and mel both look fat and pregnant. posh looks good but mel c looks the most updated, really like her black outfit and bangs. hehe.

last week i bought this one top for 600 php. today i bought 2 slacks, 1 pair capri jeans and a top for work- roughly totalling the same amount. o diba.

i am very very excited about going to topshop at mall of asia to see the items designed by kate moss. i know they're going to be expensive but i'm excited even if just to see them. if i really like something, then i'll buy. even tho i know i can't really afford it. hehe. it's weird coz i usually go to ukay and i don't like overly expensive clothes but kate moss is my idol. i luvvvvv her.

sa totoo lang, gusto ko talaga mag aral ulit. masteral ba. o kung anu mang klase ng degree yun. basta gusto ko sana up diliman, either film, theater, lit, or art history. o diba. gusto kong may mapagkaabalahan ako na meron ako interest kahit papano. pinarinig ko na nga sa parents at sabi naman ni tatay, sige ba. di magtrabaho daw ako part time. hay. sana mayaman na lang kame para puedeng suportado pa rin ng magulang pero syempre di pede di naman kami mayaman eh. sana mayaman na lang tayong lahat.

ang hirap kasi ng ganito, kumikita nga ako para sa sarili ko, ang bigat naman ng loob ko. =(
parang, nagtatrabaho lang ako para suportahan yung luho ko. ang panget. wehehe. sabi ako ng sabi, bilhin ko lang mga kelangan ko atsaka ipon ng konte tapos puede na ko umalis. pero hindi maubos yung bibilhin ko. at hindi ako makaipon. gusto ko sana talaga magpasa ng resignation papers asap pero may mga worries ako na hindi mawala...halimbawa bday ko na sa june, bday ni laurent sa june, gusto ko puntahan nanay ko sa taiwan. syempre lahat yun kelangan ng panggastos. hay. pano kaya.

anne frank! cool. yah sometimes i look like someone from the holocaust. cute yung mga intsik but i don't think i look like zhang ziyi. alyson hannigan hihi nice.




ok na e may sophia bush, thandie newton (wow) atsaka camilla belle (crush ko to), kaya lang may jamie lynn spears at brenda song. disney channel, baby. hehe.

it's a shame how the local hbo channel censors certain scenes. it just makes that channel so lame that way. it's like they're like the disney channel. it's bad enough that they mostly show bad movies but they have to censor too? but it's cable.

like on their show rome, which really got my attention, they took out the gory bloody scenes and the sex scenes. now the those are really nasty and the sex scenes are hot, but that's what makes the show so wonderful. it's a hot gritty portrayal of BC rome.

i just bought the pirated dvd and realized what i was missing the whole time i followed that series on hbo. i so wish that our cable subscriber or the channels or whatever would show everything in full. i mean cable na nga yun diba. some things like that suck when you live in the philippines. i really dislike censorship of any kind. i think it undermines a person's intelligence and i find it highly insulting. i wish it would stop. it's stupid. duh.
